Hey all, I finally got around to finishing off this painting - it took far too long and I'm glad it's out of the way Anyhow, it was painted entirely in photoshop using fairly standard brushes and the original image is 5000 pixels high.

Hello everyone,

I was recently commissioned by ImagineFX magazine to paint the artwork for a '2 Cover Special Edition.' (Issue 008 - September) Available in the UK from today

It was an incredible challenge, and one I felt pretty nervous about! Both paintings were completed in about 9 days from concept to creation. Luckily, Marcelo (ImagineFX art editor and all around nice guy) had a clear vision of what he wanted - For cover 1 I was given the task of painting a full frontal composition of a beautiful alien/human girl, and for cover 2 it had to be the same girl transformed into a nasty looking beast!

Hi,
This a Sci-Fi/Fantasy painting I have really enjoyed working on. Her name is Boudicca, and she's inspired by Queen Boudicca of ancient Britain. Queen Boudicca was said to have had flaming red hair, and famously led a revolt against the Romans in 60 AD (roughly). I thought it would be nice to bring her back from the dead and place her in the future.. I have been thinking about creating a comic based on this character and if the time allows I'd like to go ahead with it. For now though, I'll spare you the details!
The image was painted from scratch in Photoshop with no reference material. I hope you like it! All comments and crits are most welcome..

Hi!

I did this sketch some time ago, but I thought I'd share it now because I've started doing a lot more work in the same style. It began as a very simple pencil sketch, which I scanned into Photoshop. I then just painted straight over the top of it for a few hours, using hard-edged brushes.

Hope you like it - any comments or crits are of course welcome.
